About the Nonprofit

During the Fall 2018 semester, I worked alongside three other women with Durham Exchange Club Industries Inc., primarily known as DECI.

DECI’s mission statement: DECI’s mission is to help people with vocational disabilities achieve a sense of self-worth by optimizing their potential to earn their own wages through work.

To continue to achieve this mission, DECI offers production services for businesses which become vocations for individuals with disabilities. In addition, it offers vocational services such as job placement and education of job skills.

As an intern for DECI, I wrote a variety of PR pieces in addition to social media posts and graphics for DECI’s Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
